Many historians believe that the rise in Christianity played a role in the fall of the Roman empire. one reason for this belief is that lots of money was spent on building and running churches and monasteries. this money came from the government which of course came from taxes. another thing is once most of Rome was christian that meant that everyone who was christian became a pacifist. is most Romans were pacifists then they wouldn't fight in wars. once that happened , the government had to hire and pay men to fight but they weren't as loyal because they were from other countries

environmental and public health issues
In ancient Rome many rich people got lead poisoning due to the fact that their pipes were made of lead. since many public leaders were wealthy, they too had these lead pipes that you could die from taking in enough of this tainted water, thus killing off many of them. many of the people who died of lead poisoning also used lead cooking utensils which tainted all the food they made using they cooking utensils. The Romans used lead pipes because they thought that lead was the father of all metals. This in part is because lead had a very low melting point and it was easy to make stuff out of it. The metal was also very abundant is certain parts of regions in the empire.

inferior technology
(During the last 400 years of the roman empire , the scientific achievements of the Romans were almost entirely limited to engineering and organization of public services.) (They built marvelous roads, bridges, and aqueducts.) (They also established the first system of medicine the benefit the poor.) (The Romans relied so much on animal and human labor that they failed to invent machines or discover new technology to produce goods more efficiently.) They could not produce goods fast enough for the growing population which led to shortages and higher prices due to supply and demand. this made many people angry because they got less for their money. All in all inferior technology lightly contributed to the fall of Rome.
